Transferring Update Manager to Another Computer
using only a Floppy Drive
These instructions are to be followed if it is necessary to download
the Update Manager Software onto a first computer and then subsequently
transfer the Update Manager program to a second computer using 1.44
Mbyte floppy disks.
1) Download the following 3 files to your hard drive:
P2KUM_D1.EXE
|
Download the Pinball 2000 Update
Manager - Disk 1
|
|
P2KUM_D2.EXE
|
Download the Pinball 2000 Update
Manager - Disk 2
|
|
P2KUM_D3.EXE
|
Download the Pinball 2000 Update
Manager - Disk 3
|
|
2) To get the program on floppy disk will require 3 disks. Each
of the above files contains the files that are placed on a single
disk. You will need to extract these files on your hard drive before
copying them to the floppy disks. Create a separate folder for each
of the above files and move each file to its own folder.
3) Double click on each file (in its own folder) to extract the
contents.
4) Delete the original P2KUM_D1/D2/D3.EXE file in each folder.
5) Transfer the files from each folder to a separate floppy disk.
6) Insert the disk corresponding to P2KUM_D1.EXE in the floppy
drive of the 2nd computer and "run" the setup.exe program from Drive
a: (Using the "Run" command on the Windows '95 "Start Menu".)
7) Follow the on-screen setup instructions and insert the 2nd and
3rd disks when asked.
