    Introduction

Hi and welcome to another FAQ made by me. I'm aiming at become the number
one or number two FAQ maker at GameFAQs.com. I know I can't beat Kao Megura
or others but I'm trying. Hey, nobody said I couldn't do it, right? And
please come to my website. It's a FAQ website too.... Now here is a FAQ for
the strategy game, Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 2 for the Genesis. It is a
very good game, and I totally recommend you to recruit a few generals I list
here. Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go on!

    1.Generals

    The Good Generals To Recruit:

    Name: Zhao Cun
    Country: 3 (Not sure)
Perfect in every aspect, probably the best in the game!
    Skills: War=99 Charm=99 Intel=99

    Name: Lu Bu
    Country: 10 (Dong Zhuo)
A very good fighter, but is easily charmed by the scent of gold. For
desperate or hard fights, use him. But don't use him to send letters or to
become a leader of the country.
    Skills: War=100 Charm=15 Intel=25

    Name: Guan Yu
    Country: 4 (Liu Bei)
He's a very good person for you to recruit, but his loyalty makes it hard
for you to recruit him. But once he's on your side, the AI is hard to recruit
    him from YOU!
    Skills: War=99 Charm=91 Intel=83

    Name: Xiahou Dun
    Country: 9 (Cao Cao)
This is one of the brothers who are great fighters. I recommend you to get
    him.
    Skills: War=80 Intel=N/A Charm=N/A

    Name: Xiahou Yuan
    Country: 9 (Cao Cao)
The second brother. A better fighter though.
    Skills: War=90 Intel=N/A Charm=N/A

    Explanation

War= Their experience in war. The higher, the better and the stronger they
    are.

Intel = Their intelligence. The more intelligent somebody is, the more
accurate their forecast becomes and the better for your country too.
(note: for somebody to become and advisor, their Intel must be over 80)

Charm = The higher these are, the easier for you to recruit generals, make
friends (allies), join invasion, marry and others. Get Guan Yu or Zhao Cun
    for this matter.

These are just a few of the best fighters (war), geniuses (intel), fluent
speaking people (charm) that I am talking about. The others, you'll have
    to find by yourself.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to make your own country:

At the start, choose an country that is not filled with a flag. It will then
ask you if you want to make a new country or not. Answer yes, and it'll bring
you to another screen. Enter your name, choose your age (I recommend you put
it at 16 as you will get a VERY handsome face! :>) and genre (male or female)
. Now choose your points wisely and carefully. I recommend that 2 of them
(the abilities!) are over 80 and they are War and Charm. Just recruit
generals from other countries whose intelligence are high. There is only one
problem starting out with a new country; You start out with 1 generals only
or none! Better make your follower is high on Intel And Charm to easily
    recruit other generals.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1.View
    1.1 Province
    1.2 General
    1.3 Summary 1
    1.4 Summary 2
    1.5 Territory

    Description

    1. To spy on the other province. It will take one man to spy. This will show
you the enemies resources, generals and others.
    2. This will show the summary of your generals one by one.
    3. This shows you the summary of the generals all at once. You have press B
for more if you have a lot of generals
    4. This shows the summary of your war things such as Soldier Skill, FireArms,
    Horse, Soldiers and others
    5. I'm not sure what this does...

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    2.Army
    2.1 Hire
    2.2 Assign
    2.3 Train
    2.4 War

    Description

    1. Hire soldiers. One soldier costs 10 gold. You have to re-train if you add
more soldiers to the team or re-assign soldiers to different generals.
    2. Assign how many soldiers to each general. Each general can only have 100
    soldiers.
    3. Train soldiers so that their skills rise up for you to use in battle
    4. Go to war and fight another country. Sometimes if you win, you'll get
    things as war spoils.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    3. Person
    3.1 Recruit
    3.2 Search
    3.3 Appoint
    3.4 Dismiss
    3.5 Delegate
    3.6 Reward

    Description

    1. Recruit a general from another country. An easy way to recruit them is by
luring them with the things they like (note: personal appeal are womens!)
or by sending them letters to drop their loyalty down. Usually when their
loyalty is under 70 or 69, they can be recruited the first time you send
a letter to them if the general who sends the letter is high on Charm.
    2. Use this to search for free generals in your country. Look at the yellow
map on your screen and see if there are any free generals or look at
Summary 1 to see if there is a sword beside the name of a general.
Usually the ones here don't work or don't show up so use search to find
new generals. The higher your charm, the easier to find free generals.
    3. Appoint a governer or advisor. A governor is useful for ruling the
country when you are gone (am I correct here?) and an advisor is for
giving advices to you at the start of every turn or when you want to make
    a move.
    4. Dismiss a governor or an advisor with this. I don't use this at all.
    5. If you are the ruler of a country and you have two countries, you can
either manage both countries or one. The other country is AI operated
but you have the choice to send which kind of orders: Military, Full and
2 other options which I can't remember. Useful if you have conquered a
    big portion of China.
    6. Reward your generals with Horse or Gold to increase their loyalty to you.
Give Lu Bu gold until his loyalty is 100 or he could turn himself against
you in battle which is very ANNOYING or the WORST thing to happen to you.
If you give writings to them, their intelligence will increase.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    4.Trade
    4.1 Sell Rice
    4.2 Buy Rice
    4.3 Buy Horse
    4.4 Buy Fire Arms

    Description

    1. Sell rice for the usual money in Spring or Summer. To sell at a higher
price, sell in winter as food is scarce at that time.
    2. Buy rice for the usual money in Spring, Summer or Autumn. Don't buy in
winter as it will be more expensive as food is scarce at that time.
    3. Buy horse as a gift when recruiting generals, or as rewards for your
    generals.
    4. Buy fire arms for the fire trick in battle to work. The more firearms you
buy, the higher the chance of getting the firetrick to work.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    5.Int Afrs (Intellectual Affairs)
    5.1 Land
    5.2 Flood
    5.3 Give
    5.4 Tax

    Description

    1. To develop your land, use this option. It will make your land better and
will improve the collection of rice taken when you collect the tax.
    2. If a flood ever occurs, your country will be ready for this if it reaches
    100.
    3. Give rice to the people of the country. The loyalty of the people to you
will increase depending on your charm.
    4. Once you collect tax, the loyalty and trust of the people to you will de-
crease. Only use when you have no money and rice.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    6.Dipl (Diplomatic)
    6.1 Ally
    6.2 Joint
    6.3 Marry
    6.4 Gift
    6.5 Cancel
    6.6 Threat

    Description

    1. When you are gone for war, and have no soldiers or just finished war with
another country or if you are not ready, ask help from another country
that you have allied with to help you.
    2. When you are ready for war, asking help from another country to join you
in with the invasion is of no problem with this option. Useful if you want
to send a high class war person to battle. (e.g, Lu Bu himself)
    3. If you want to marry your daughter, use this. It will make you and and the
country you have married with like allies. You can only marry your
    daughter once.
    4. Send a gift to other countries in gold. They WILL accept it even if the
person who sends it is low in charm because its MONEY.
    5. Cancel an ally whom you have allied with with this.
    6. Threat a country with this.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    7.Spy
    7.1 Hide Generals
    7.2 Rival Tigers
    7.3 Tiger Wolf
    7.4 Betrayal
    7.5 Forgery

    Description

    1. Hide your precious generals so that other countries won't be able to
    recruit it from you.
    2. This option makes two different countries war against themselves. Kind of
like forgery but you send it to two different places and they'll become
    tight enemies.
    3. The person who you mailed to will start a revolt and will overtake the
power of the ruler of the country.
    4. Use this so that when in a middle of a battle, your enemy will turn to
your side. There can even be multiple enemies who will turn to your side
IF a lot of them agrees to your letter.
    5. Use this so that the ruler of the country will begin to distrust the
general you have sent it to and make his loyalty decrease.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    8.Move
    8.1 General
    8.2 Goods

    Description

    1. If you have another country, use this to move your generals to the other
country if you don't have enough generals there.
    2. Same as no.1 but use this to move goods such as gold and rice if you
    don't have enough things.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hints And Tips

When trying to recruit a general, make sure your general is high on CHARM
while the general you are trying to recruit is low on LOYALTY. This will
make it easier for you to recruit the general. See section 7 for tips to
    make loyalty decrease.

Never try to war with another country when you are low on rice, or low on
soldier skills or if the generals war ability is low. Recruit high class
generals such as Lu Bu (I'm always talking about him, aren't I?), Zhao Cun,
    Guan Yu or others.

If you gain a war spoils after the battle, be sure to give it to a person
who is down on loyalty but high on others such as WAR, CHARM or INTEL.
They're loyalty will automatically increase to 100 even if their loyalty is
    15 or under.

Never underestimate the power of a small person. He might look weak or
stupid, but his true ability (LIMIT BREAK) will be shown in battle (Just
    kidding!).
