I. Introduction --------------- Hello again, to those of you have read my previous FAQs or Reviews. And to those of you who are reading this FAQ and haven't read my others, Hello! Well, this is my 7th FAQ/Walkthrough that I have written for GameFAQs.com and it is on a fantastic game called Motocross Maniacs 2 for the Gameboy Color. I am not sure if it is playable on the Gameboy Black and white, but I think it is. If you want to submit any codes or Gameshark codes for this game, send them to SDallas15@aol.com and I will give you credit. This Guide is a spoiler for the Game Motocross Maniacs 2 for the GBC/GB? So if you don't want to know how to beat the game, don't read this. Otherwise, lets get started...
II. About the Game ------------------ This is a fairly new game. I do believe it was released in September 99' (Last Month) by Konami. To be honest my 2 favorite gaming companies are RARE and Konami. I love RARE for such games as DK64 (Coming out later this month), Banjo Kazooie, Jet Force Gemini (Probably wrong spelling on Gemini.), and many other greats. But I really love Konami for 1 Game, and that is CASTLEVANIA 64!! I have beaten the game over 6 times, and I still love playing it. It's GREAT! But anyway, getting back to Motocross now. Motocross is a Racing game with, you guessed it, MOTORCYCLES! I didn't even know that there was a Motocross Maniacs 1 but I guess there must be one otherwise this game wouldn't be called Motocross Maniacs 2. This game is really addicting, the first time I played it, I couldn't stop. I played for like 2 hours straight. It is a really TOUGH game to complete but it is also really ADDICTING, and not to mention FUN! So here is the guide to completely finish both the Rookie and National Championship...
III. Motorcycles ---------------- You can choose from 7 different color motorcycles, all are the same, just the colors are different. The colors are: Default - Your Standard Cycle Red - A Red Cycle Green - A Green Cycle Yellow - A Yellow Cycle White - A White Cycle Orange - An Orange Cycle Blue - A Blue Cycle These motorcycles are all the same, the only difference is the color. In this game there are no advantages or disadvantages to a certain cycle (Hey, what do you expect, the game is for Gameboy).
IV. Rookie Championship ----------------------- Before you start I STRONGLY suggest that you set the Difficulty Level to EASY. This game is hard after the first 3 or 4 levels, and that is on EASY. So Set the Difficulty level to EASY by going into the options. Press B while playing for a Boost, and A to go. Collect the N signs and Gas signs as much as you can. The N sign gives you more Boosts and the Gas Sign gives you more gas. Also collect the Letter Signs as well. Ok, here are the levels in Chronological Order:
Round 1, Course 1: When you start go out and Boost on the little hills, to collect the N sign. Then you will come to a loop. Boost to go into it and collect the N sign and the S sign. Then go out and keep going. Boost over the different colored stuff that looks like water and remember when in the air, if you think you can, do a FLIP by holding left or right. But be careful because sometimes the jump won't be high enough to do a FLIP. Now keep moving and boost to the the N. Then you will come to another loop with Gas. Get it. Then boost over the small hills because they slow you down. Then jump over the 2 Watery areas and then jump up the next one to get an N. You will then come to another place to get an N right after the last one you got. Keep going and boost over the hills if you still have some Boosts left. You will then come to an area with a Gas sign. If you can get it, then good luck. Keep moving up the hill and into the loop. Collect the signs and go on your way. The next part that you come to will have about 3 or 4 jumps over the watery stuff. Then you will come to a loop with some Gas and another sign, get them and right after that is another loop with some more Gas and another sign. Boost over the 2 ramps and get the N and go into the Goal line. Do this whole thing 1 more time and you are finished. (2 laps per Round).
Round 1, Course 2: Sorry Everyone.. But I need sleep. I'll finish this part Later. Sorry for the Inconvience.
V. National Championship ------------------------- This is the same as the Rookie Class only harder. So Here is the Walkthrough again:
Round 1, Course 2: Sorry Everyone.. But I need sleep. I'll finish this part Later. Sorry for the Inconvience.
VI. Time Trials -------------- Again, the same thing as before, except this time you are trying to get records in time instead of racing the computer:
Round 1, Course 1: When you start go out and Boost on the little hills, to collect the N sign. Then you will come to a loop. Boost to go into it and collect the N sign and the S sign. Then go out and keep going. Boost over the different colored stuff that looks like water and remember when in the air, if you think you can, do a FLIP by holding left or right. But be careful because sometimes the jump won't be high enough to do a FLIP. Now keep moving and boost to the the N. Then you will come to another loop with Gas. Get it. Round 1, Course 2: Sorry Everyone.. But I need sleep. I'll finish this part Later. Sorry for the Inconvience.
VII. Final Thought (Hmm..Sound Familiar?) ---------------------------------------- The famous Final Thought from Jerry Springer in case you didn't know. But here is my Final Thought on the game. I REALLY like this game. It has tons of features such as Editing your own levels, and many types of gameplay. This game will give you great satisfaction if you are looking for a good challenge. And if you really want a challenge then try pulling off tricks during gameplay. The only thing that would improve this game would be if they had a mode for doing tricks. That would be great. Also the graphics could be better. But anyway, this is a very fun game.
VIII. Codes ---------- If you know any codes or secrets for this game, please send them to SDallas15@aol.com and tell me your name so I can give you credit for them. It would help me out and the people reading this. So please if you know codes, send them in. Thanks.
IX. Gameshark Codes --------------------- Same as above. Please if you know any codes send them to me (SDallas15@aol.com) with your name and I will give you full credit for them. Thank you very much.
