------------------------------------------------------------------------ My Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I highly recommend this game for anybody who can find it.
Gameplay-10/10-It's not one of those games where once you beat it, it's game over. This game goes on and on and on until you either run out of time or get tired of it and leave.
Challenge-3-10/10-Depending how the service guy sets it up, this can be anywhere from a morning walk to a real challenge. Personally, where I play it, it's set on the hardest 'cause everyone always gets high scores.
Variety-8/10-Not a lot to choose from. You can choose from 4 drivers, each with an ability better than the others.
Overall-10/10-A really great game made by Sega, Ltd.'s AM3 department that displays good 3D graphics and fast processing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ How to Play ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pretty obvious. You go around picking up people with a cash sign above them. Make sure you stop very close without hitting them for more time to deliver. Depending on the service guy, you get 40-80 sec. to start off and a difficulty setting of 1-8. After picking them up, you have to drive them to their destination(duh). The number on their head is the time you have to get them there, so if they have to run to your car, you get less time, plus they yell at you. You can also get tips for reckless driving, as seen below. Green customers go the farthest and pay the most, while Red ones go the shortest and pay the least. I think Red ones are to lazy to walk. There are 4 ratings for you if you get there. Speedy-You get a 5 sec. time bonus and a high five. Normal-You get a 2 sec. bonus and a "Thanks". Slow-You get no bonus and they yell at you or throw dust at you. Bad-No bonus or payment. The arrows point where to go. They don't always point the shortest route. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Techniques ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crazy Dash-A boost of speed that gets you going at top speed after a stop if you do it right. If you want a high score, you'd better do this with 95-100% accuracy. To do it, come to a stop. Let go of both pedals. put the stick in reverse. Then put it in drive and almost immediately floor the gas. No tips from people for this, though.
Limit Cut-A boost of speed while you're in motion. As with the Crazy Dash, you must do this 95-100% accurately. While driving, let go of both pedals. Do a quick reverse-drive with the stick and almost immediately floor the gas. No tips for this either.
Crazy Backdash-Same as Crazy Dash, except backwards. You can live without this one. While stopped, do a quick D-R and almost immediately floor the gas. No tips either
Crazy Through-Weave in and out of traffic. Gets you tips.
Crazy Drift-A power-slide that gets you around sharp turns. Must do with at least 80% accuracy. Never do on a shallow turn. While hitting the gas do a quick R-D and turn. Gets you BIG tips.
Crazy Jump-Drive up a slanted surface to jump. Gets you tips.
Crazy Stop-Stops you quickly. Very useful, but you don't need it. Let go of the gas, put the stick in reverse and almost immediately floor the brake. No tips
Bicycle-Gets you a bike with a cart in back. Best of everything(turning, braking, etc.) Also gets bounced around the most. It's the same for everybody, so you only need to pick who you like. Also, when you pick someone up, if you nearly hit them or stop too far, they won't yell at you :). Before you start, put the coins in(duh), but DON'T press Start. Step on both pedals and hold them there. Press Start. Highlight your driver. Shift into drive. Release the pedals. Then shift into reverse. Then Press Start(DO NOT step on the gas or brake).
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cabbies ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There are 4 cabbies(drivers) to choose from. Attributes are for cars. Axel-Average all-around driver. B.D. Joe-Fastest Speed. Worst traction. Gena-Best Acceleration and Braking. Worst top speed and turning. Gus-Best Turning and Traction. Worst brakes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Locations ------------------------------------------------------------------------ All customers go to a specific location. While driving, press start to see where you are going and the distance. Several locations will be familiar and popular places. The places you will be going to are:
University of S.C.G.P Cable Car Stop Top Freshtree St. Sail St. Cable Car Stop Bottom Seaside Market West Side Beach Yacht Harbor Cafeteria Pizza Hut Fila Popcorn Mania Square Park Original Levi's Store Tower Records Kentucky Fried Chicken Church Heliport R.B. Station Baseball Stadium Police Station Clock Towers Theater Boarders Paradise Sky Bank C.T. Hospital Mall W. Gate Mall N. Gate Omasus Hotel Crown Arena Bus Terminal Lookout Tower Fire Station
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tips ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Always stick with a color group until the end. If you start off with a red or orange, the only green one you should pick up is to go across the freeway. If you start with a yellow, light green, or green, the only red you should see is to get to a green one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Licenses ------------------------------------------------------------------------ When you run out of time, the total number of customers and money you made shows up, along with your rank. You also get a license based on the money you made. The classes are:
