This translation of the Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Instruction Manual
was partially copied from the translation given out by Die Hard Gamers Club
What I did was copy the translation they sent me and corrected the mistakes
that I found(a few) and inserted and translated the missing parts of the
manual which Die Hard failed to do.(quite a few pages)
The page numbers that you see correspond to the printed manual which
you recieved with the game. If you see any mistakes or have any questions

II.     Game Modes

*WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP-In this mode you can save your game(you can save
between matches). You get a different number of points depending on how
you win a match, which determines how you progress. You get 5 points for a
Fall, your enemy Giving Up, or a KO. You get 4 points if your enemy brings
the rules, or you get a Ringout. Ypu get 2 points if you win by a time out,
and zilcho for a loss or a Double Ringout.

*ONE NIGHT DREAM MATCH- You can change all of the options to creat a single
shot dream match.

*EXCITING TOURNAMENT- You can also save in this mode. 3-16 wrestlers as you
select battle it out in rapid succession until one wins the trophy. Damage
you recieve in one match carries over to the next, so be careful.

*MEGA FIGHT LEAGUE- 4-32 teams fight it out, and the one with the most
points win. Press select to your standings and select again to Save.

*5 ON 5 ELIMINATION MATCH - Fight it out in teams of 5...All damage you take

carries over to the next match. You win by defeating the other team's
captain, and it uses "Lumberjack Rules", so if there's a time out, it's a
captain vs. captain final match.

it is also possible to EDIT and save your own teams.

*HYPER BATTLE ROYAL - 4 Wrestlers in the ring at once, until all the
wrestlers are defeated and only one's left.

*WRESTLER EDIT - Allows you to create your own original wrestler or
use the character models to edit from.

*OPTION - Allows you to choose between stereo or mono sound,
toggle the volume of the background music,
test the game music,
enable or disable the wrestler's shadow,
enable or disable auto mode(automatic move selection during grapple)
and an option to purge the battery backup RAM of all saved data.

III.    Editing Your Wrestler

*NAME ENTRY - D-PAD to move the font curser,
             L, R buttons to move bar curser,
                         B button to enter character
                         Y button to backspace
                         Select button to quit
*WRESTLER MAKE - Change body parts, color, wrestler size
*WRESTLER SKILL - Change wrestler's type and speed

*PARAMETER - Changes various attack and defense parameters.
                        See section VII. for details.
*EQUIP TECHNIQUES - Select the techniques you'll use within the fight,
                   you can select your wrestler's finishing move by
                                       pressing L or R button while highlighting the move.
*CPU LOGIC - Set the wrestler's movement patterns while CPU is controlling
            him.
*SAVE - Save your wrestler configuration settings

IV.     Configuration Options

*VS. MODE - Change vs. modes. Like player vs computer and such
*PARTICIPANTS - How many wrestlers you want in the leagues and
tournament modes.
*WINNING CONDITIONS-
win by:
3 count + give up
2 count + give up
win by give up only
*SET MAX TIME
*HOW MANY MATCHES - Set from 1-3
*RING SETTINGS - Change colors involved
*COMPUTER LEVEL - Change the computer's level of strength
*COMPUTER SKIP - When this is on, after the amount of time you choose, you
will automatically skip computer battles

*REFEREE-Choose your referee
       
       LEON SANDERS-HWA Official ref, follows all of the standard rules
          (was referee in the Blazing Tornado Arcade Game)
       
       PANTHER TOTTORI-A ref from the Amateur Wrestling leauge
          (patterned after New Japan Pro Wrestling's Tiger Hattori)

       
       JOE HIROSHI-A senior referee, his health is kind of poor
          (patterned after All Japan Pro Wrestling's ref Joe Higuchi)
       
       MR. MIZUNAKA-Referee for UWH-style matches
          (UWF-Shoot-style ref)

*CHANGE RULES
       
       ROPE BREAK - when this is off the ref won't break the hold against
       the ropes
       
       LUMBERJACK - You automatically return to the ring when you get
       thrown out
       
       NO RELIEF - In Handicap and 2 vs 2 matches, there is no tagging
       
       CUT PLAY - When you're in a tag match, and this option is on
       your partner can save you from pins or submission holds
       
       RULES VIOLATIONS - when this is off, the referee won't count
       when players are breaking the rules
       
       RINGOUT COUNT - When this is off, there is no countouts

V.      Basic Wrestler Controls

*STANDING POSITION - you may move in all eight directions
D-PAD - to move wrestler
Y Button - Small attack
B Button - Medium attack
A Button - Big damage attack
X Button + (DIRECTION) - running
L Button - Performance


*FRONTAL GRAPPLING - At the instant when wrestlers begin to grapple press
the button. Your timing has to be perfect, so work hard at mastering this.

Y BUTTON-Stopping Technique
Y BUTTON + D-PAD UP OR DOWN-Chaining Technique
Y BUTTON + D-PAD FORWARD - Small Forward Attack
Y BUTTON + D-PAD BACK - Small Backwards Attack

*STRENGTH BATTLE - test of strength - tap the D-PAD rapidly left and right
to win advantage.

PRESS Y and TOWARDS the post when standing near it

WHEN YOUR ON THE CORNER POST(not all wrestlers have this option)
PRESS Y to attack a downed enemy
PRESS B to attack a downed enemy
PRESS A to attack a standing enemy(can also be done when enemy is standing
                                                                       outside)
PRESS X to attack a standing enemy

*WHEN YOUR OPPONENT IS ON THE CORNER POST
PRESS B + TOWARDS him to execute a deadly drive(Bodyslam off post)


*TO ATTACK ENEMY OUTSIDE THE RING(not all wrestlers have this option)
Method #1: Get a good running start and hold down the A Button
Method #2: Stand against the ring apron and press toward the ropes and
           push the A Button

while grappling close to the ropes
press X button + D-PAD(Direction towards outside)

TO THROW YOUR OPPONENT INTO THE RING WHEN OUTSIDE
while grappling next to the ring
press X button + D-PAD(Direction towards the ring)


*CORNER OFFENSE
 When opponent is dazed in corner:
A BUTTON + UP ON D-PAD(not all wrestlers have this option)
A BUTTON + D-PAD TOWARDS CORNER
A BUTTON + DOWN ON D-PAD(not all wrestlers have this option)


*NADASKE TECHNIQUE(not all wrestlers have this technique)
(when on the turnbuckle setting up for a superplex and such.)
In order to perform these moves, your timing must be perfect
when the grapple comes up with the enemy, when both you and
your opponent touch you may press Y, B or A button to execute the move.

*ROPE DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUE
When your enemy throws you into the rope you have the following options
as you touch the ropes(timing MUST be perfect, even more so than grappling
in order to execute these defensive moves)

Press Y Button to Hold onto the ropes

Press B Button to Hold onto the ropes and rebound to run at opponent

Press A Button to jump onto second rope and spring-off with an attack
       (not all wrestlers have this technique)

*SPECIAL TECHNIQUE
All wrestlers have some sort of Special move that is unique to him.
It is up to you to find it.
Press Y & B to execute.

---Additional Tip from me----------
Instead of jamming on the buttons to escape submission holds,
TAP THE D-PAD LEFT AND RIGHT RAPIDLY instead to escape from
submission holds, escape from being downed, escape from rapid attacks, etc.
this will save your buttons from wear and tear on the control pad.

*OTHER SKILLS


POST-





POST-to run up to the top turnbuckle(not all wrestlers have
                                               this technique)

run towards the corner and hold down the A button

*TAG PLAY

 Touch(tagging partner)

 in your partner's corner, press Y Button + D-PAD(Direction
                                                      of your partner)

*CUT PLAY(when you are in the corner and your partner is in trouble
            e.g: in a submission hold or getting pinned)
 press Y or B Button to enter the ring to make the save


*TWO PLATON(Grappling Double Teaming)

both members of team must press either Y or B Button to perform
double-teaming tactic.

R BUTTON + UP OR DOWN to grip opponent from behind for partner to attack

PRESS R BUTTON to lift opponent onto your shoulders.

The various parameters you can adjust when creating your wrestler.

*OFFENSIVE(Red color bars)

THRUSTING TECHNIQUE - Rapid hand and arm attacks
KICKING TECHNIQUE - Rapid kicking attacks
THROWING TECHNIQUE - More effective throwing techniques.
JOINT/MUSCLE TECHNIQUE - More agile, flexible, accurate techniques.
SQUEEZING TECHNIQUE - More effective using submission techniques.
FLYING TECHNIQUE - Air/jumping techniques.
HORSEPOWER - Your tackling power and such.
ARM POWER - Useful for picking up enemies, and squeezing techniques.
TECHNIQUE - General knowledge and experience of wrestling techniques.
ROUGH - Headbutts and illegal weapon techniques.

*DEFENSIVE(Green color bars)

HITTING DEFENSE - Strength against fist/hand-related attacks/strikes.
KICKING DEFENSE - Strength against kicking techniques.
GENERAL DEFENSE - vs standard throws and hits
JOINT/MUSCLE TECHNIQUE DEFENSIVE - strength against joint-locks.

FLEXIBILITY - Useful against stretching techniques and such.
AERIAL DEFENSE - vs. jump attacks and such.
TOUGHNESS - Strength vs. opponent's full body attack.
VS. LARIAT - Strong against lariat(clothesline) attacks.
TECHNIQUE - Useful for breaking off and turning back opponent's attacks.
VS. ROUGH - Vs. weapons and headbutts and the like.
NECK - Good defense against attacks targetting your neck.
SHOULDER AREA - Good defense against attacks targetting your shoulder.
HIP AREA - Good defense against attacks that target your thighs and hips.

*CRITICAL - The groups of special attacks.(match ending techniques)

   SUBMISSION TECHNIQUES - Standing submission techniques
       GROUND TECHNIQUES - Mostly squeeze/hold techniues(shoot submissions)
       SUPLEX TECHNIQUES - Powerbombs, backdrops, brainbuster, etc.
       POWER TECHNIQUES - Straight Forward power attacks.
       HITTING TECHNIQUES - Stronger hits and punches.(Striking/Kicks, etc.)
       SPECIAL ATTACKS - Allows you to use more special attacks.

*LIFE METERS - You take damage in four areas:
       
       CONSTITUTION - Stamina throughout your entire body. This slowly heals
       itself throughout the match when you don't take damage.
       
       NECK - You take damage here mainly from throwing techniques. If it gets
       too low, you could get knocked out by a throw.
       
       SHOULDER AREA - Mostly from taking damage by fist and hitting attacks.
       Your own arm power lessens as you take damage here.

       HIP/THIGH AREA - Damage taken from kicks. As you take damage here, you
       can move less quickly.
